Continuing on from my first article ‘Discover How To Create Leads For Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business’ I am going to talk with you about the importance of qualifying those leads that you get to your blog. The quality of leads has a direct correlation to sales efficiency and success. It’s important to expend marketing efforts on getting only the traffic to your blog. So how do we do that David? Well personally I always use this three step formula.

STEP 1: Determine the target market of your business. Knowing the target market of your businesses product or service before you invest in it is essential. For instance if you are promoting a product that is targeted towards women with low income and the unessential product is more then they make in a month, you may want to rethink your target market.

STEP 1: Determine who your target market is. Targeting a specific market does not mean that you have to exclude people that do not fit your criteria from buying from you. Rather, target marketing allows you to focus your marketing and brand message on a specific market that is more likely to buy from you than other markets. This is a much more efficient and effective way to reach potential clients and generate business.

In the last few weeks, I’ve been critiquing some pretty good copy. Very well-written and compelling. But if the conversion rate is low (hence, the reason why I was hired to conduct a critique consultation), it’s because these sales letters do not target the right audience for the offer, or the author and the copy fail to connect with their readers. Researching your customer in depth is vital to the success of your copy. It’s not only an important component of targeting and qualifying the best prospect for your offer, but also an effective way to discover new ideas, different angles, captivating storylines, unsought benefits, and appropriate length and language of your copy that will convert more.

STEP 3: Capture the traffic that goes to your blog. To build or to extend your client list, opt-in marketing is definitely the best solution. With opt-in marketing, you will get to collect names and email addresses of potential buyers, of course with their implied prior consent. As the list grows, you can further categorize it into various segments in terms of personal taste, buying preference, frequency of purchase, and so on. This benefit will enable you to plan ahead other strategies relating to the segmentation.

3: Collect the details of those who visit your blog. People will be a lot more willing to leave their details if you offer them something of value in exchange for their details for example a special report or DVD about how to literally save thousands when buying their next home. The other key is to keep it short. If you make the form too long, people will simply not fill it out, or will skip over large sections of it.
